Spinach - An Iron Rich Food

I was a Popeye's fan and made to believe during my teenage years that if you ate spinach you could do anything!

Now as I look at the nutritional properties of spinach I have discovered that it is an iron-rich food and also a good source of iodine, vitamin A, B complex
vitamins, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and trace elements. It is also extremely rich in antioxidants

Enzymatic activity in washing powders

It has been brought to my attention in response to my post on enzymes and its relation to food digestion about enzymatic activity in washing powder.  I found it interesting enough for me to do a bit of research.

Make Your Own Natural Strawberry Milk Shake & Banana Ice Cream

Strawberries are a rich source of vitamin C and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and potassium.  It also contains salicylates, which are natural pain-killers and a basic ingredient of aspirin.  With its combination of nutrients, strawberry juice is also an ideal complexion booster and offers general tonic for the body.  Strawberries are known by their deep red colour with seeds piercing through the surfaces. They are very sweet, filled with lots of juices and full of flavour. It is no wonder they are the most popular berry fruit in the world. They are most ideal for fruit salad, a refreshing health drink when diluted with orange, apple or pear juice, or eaten as a whole.

Human cells

Hi Everyone,

I found out that we have 100 trillion cells in our body. Our body's cells die and replace at the rate of approximately 300 million cells per minute. Therefore our body must be given and fed with raw, live and organic building materials to produce a superior cell to the cell it is replacing. Only by this can our body's own built in, self-healing mechanism kicks in, seeks out the trouble areas (physical breakdowns), and usually fixes the problem, just as God designed it to do!

The Bible has the answer to man's ultimate health.

By eating food according to Genesis 1:29, I am convinced we can take back control of our health!

Our wrong and bad eating habits, lack of regular physical exercise and weight control are definitely big contributors to most physical problems people are faced with today. I believe the Bible has answers to how we can revert to ultimate health because God, who is our Creator, has personally designed our body and stated how we should nourish our body right from the beginning of creation. We can find the clue in Genesis 1:28-31 (New International Version):

God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground--everything that has the breath of life in it--I give every green plant for food."

And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.
