In 2010, while being a member of a support team for the BT1000 I was bitten by ticks in many places and unfortunately they had left 3 nasty bite effects on the back of my right shoulder, and 1 behind my right knee. I had been too busy with my responsibilities and role then that I neglected to attend to those tick bites immediately. Unfortunately I have been experiencing itchiness from those 4 pesty tick bites since then!
Joy's tick bites |
One specialist said he will not operate on the bites on my shoulder because of the potential danger that they might become keloid and hypertrophic scars because of my skin type. However he has agreed to operate on the tick bite behind my right knee, and it has now left a dark scar tissue.
Then on Monday 26/11/2012, I met up with my specialist and decided that since medicine and remedial treatments have not been able to help me, I will go on a totally raw plant based diet to help my body fight this pesty invasion!!! With the specialist's consent, he encouraged me to go ahead with my own treatment for 2 months and then we will meet up again on 31January 2013. This photo was then taken at the doctor's surgery for our record.
So here I was on the 10th Jan 2013, after 45 days on a raw plant based diet, and applying only tea tree oil once or twice a day, I was already feeling excited at getting some good progress on my tick bites. My itchiness had reduced drastically and on most days, I had even forgotten about the tick bites. However it hasn't been easy especially abstaining from all the local food in Singapore and Kota Kinabalu during my 2 weeks' holiday from Dec 22 to Jan 4, 2013. However I ate mainly fresh salads and vegetables at the hotel breakfast buffets, fresh
By Jan 31, 2013 and also trusted God was my ultimate healer as I also prayed for His guidance and wisdom and by feeding the self-healing body that God has given me with all the health producing rich nutrients necessary, I had till this day, 1 year later, received total and lasting healing from the effects of these tick bites. Praise the Lord!
