Iron in Nuts and Seeds

Currants, raisin, sultanas and coconut flakes enhance any nut mix!
Women! Eat your raw nuts and seeds for added amounts of iron.  They are also saturated with good fats!

You can also read my earlier post on other Iron Rich Foods.

I like to buy my nuts and seeds individually, mix them up and store in a big air tight jar, then pack them into a small zip lock plastic bag or small glass jar.  Great when I could take a bag or jar in my car and eat some while on my way to my next destination for extra energy!

They are also great for making raw cakes, raw butter, and as salad compliments!

Common nuts and seeds are:
Almonds

Pumpkin Seeds

Cashew Nuts
Chestnuts

Macadamia Nuts

Peanuts
Pecan Nuts
Pine Nuts
Sunflower Seeds

Brazil Nuts
Walnuts

Hazelnuts

Pistachios

Sesame Seeds
