Raw & Healthy 'Buttery' Spread

Most people love to have butter or margarine spread on their bread and toast.  I used to in the past but not anymore.  Let me introduce a healthy and nutritious spread you can use as a sandwich spread and other times as a dip!

  1. Blend the following ingredients in a good blender.  I recommend you be creative and adjust the ingredients and quantity to the consistency you like.  Other nuts such as pine nuts, cashew nuts, almond nuts are equally great for a great nutty or 'buttery' spread!
  2. Pour the mixed spread into a plastic container, close with an air-tight lid, and leave in the refrigerator.
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1 cup pine nuts
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Celtic sea salt
  • 1 cup extra virgin cold pressed olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Udo Oil (optional)
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
  • A pinch turmeric powder

Note:  You also adjust the colour as you adjust your ingredients.  If you prefer a more yellow spread, just add more turmeric powder!
